G-EAZY Gerald Earl Gillum, commonly known as G-Eazy was certain from the beginning what he want to do with his life. Selecting the place to study he chose New Orleans – city with huge musical traditions which could help develop his passion. G-Eazy quickly started to produce music, which, combined with hip-hop love, resulted in several mixtapes - among them the breakthrough "Endless Summer" from 2011. Growing local rapper popularity gave him the opportunity to perform in front of the biggest stars, like Drake and Lil Wayne. Shortly thereafter, he had his own US tour, selling concerts from New York, through Seattle, to San Francisco and Los Angeles. The following 5 years were marked by his great creativity, bringing 4 studio albums. Today he can boast international hits like "Me, Myself & I", "Good Life", "No Limit", "Him & I" and cooperation with such stars as ASAP Rocky, Snoop Dogg and Cardi B. |

JORJA SMITH When a teenage Jorja Smith played a demo of "Blue Lights" to her father a few years ago, he just responded with a smile: "Nice song, good lyrics, and now go to sleep." Probably he didn’t expect that soon the song will succeed in the world of R & B and soul. After posting the song on Soundcloud in January 2016, her talent was immediately noticed. It was praised by Skrillex, Stormzy and Drake, among others. The following months were anticipation for her debut album - an international tour with Bruno Mars, the first sold-out solo concerts and the first Brit Award. In 2018, "Lost & Found" was released. Although most of the songs contained on it were written when she was between 16 and 19 years old, the album gained recognition mainly due to its artistic maturity. "I have little cousins who see me as an example, I grew up listening to honest artists like Amy Winehouse, not aggressive or vulgar music, I want to pass on this honesty to other people," says Jorja Smith. |

KAMASI WASHINGTON In 2015, when he released the three-disc album “The Epic”, Kamasi Washington was hailed as a revelation. Together with his band The Next Step, he presented jazz interspersed with elements of hip-hop and classical soul. Thanks to this genre mix, his progressive music, escaped the standard definition of jazz and went to a wide, young audience. The record became the driving force for further experimentation and cooperation with successive artists who were surprising for this music style - Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, Run The Jewels, and recently even Florence And The Machine. His next album "Heaven and Earth" was received with great enthusiasm by the critics. Pitchfork labelled it ‘Best New Music’ and the appreciation flowed from "Variety", "GQ" and "MOJO". This success established his position in the first division of the most popular jazz musicians in the world. “It’s like now, no door is closed,” he says. “I can go to these small towns around the world, play whatever I want, and people are down to ride. That’s the dream.” Kamasi said to Billboard. |

ROSALÍA An extremely talented vocalist, dancer, songwriter, producer and actress - an artist who is a revelation of 2018 and cannot be missed. Since her debut album "Los ángeles", Rosalía has been praised for the innovative combination of Spanish tradition and modern sound. However, last year's record "El Mal Querer" confirmed that we’re dealing with a real phenomenon. The album brought her two Latin Grammy Awards and extremely successful single "Malamente" reached third place of Pitchfork's 100 Best Songs of 2018 (which also awarded "Malamente" music video with the title "Video Of The Year”). Her mix of flamenco and pop attracts the attention of fans, critics and other artists from most diverse music sides - from Diplo, Charlie XCX, Gorillaz, through Billie Eilish, J Balvin, to Pharrell Williams (their song will reach the public this year). So it's not surprising that Rosalia has been included in the prestigious BBC Sound of 2019. |

J BALVIN Coming from Colombia José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, better known as J Balvin, is undoubtedly one of the most popular Latino artists of recent years. He successfully combines the tradition of Puerto Rican reggaeton with the rhythm of Colombian pop and hip-hop. From the release of the breakthrough album "La Familia" (2013) to last year's "Vibras", he won numerous awards, including 3 Latin Grammys and 3 Billboard Latin Music Awards. He has over 50 million fans on social media, and his videos have been watched over 10 billion times in total. No wonder that with this popularity J Balvin has become one of the most sought after collaborators by the giants of modern pop. Among them were Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, Major Lazer, Daddy Yankee, and Camila Cabello. However, thanks to his collaboration with Cardi B and Bad Bunny on „I Like It” he hit the top of the Bilboard Hot 100 for the first time. |

IDLES For a long time, there was no group on the international rock scene who used their music in such a harsh and honest way to express rebellion. Regardless of whether they touch social themes (mourning, definition of masculinity, complicated interpersonal relations) or political (Brexit, populism and racism), Idles do it uncompromisingly. The group was founded in 2009 by vocalist Joe Talbot and bassist Adam Devonshire, and eventually it consisted of 5 people. For several years, they searched for their direction to finally release their debut album "Brutalism" in 2017. Although they have been repeatedly classified as punk-rockers or hardcore, Joe Talbot regularly rejects any attempt to be classified. As they admit, their latest album "Joy as an Act of Resistance" is "encouragement to be sensitive, to celebration of our differences, to a bold smile in this new, crazy world". |

FLATBUSH ZOMBIES Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick Elliott met and became friends in Brooklyn's elementary school in New York. Common interests of the boys led in 2010 to the creation of the hip-hop group Flatbush Zombies. Their popularity began to increase significantly in 2012, after their first large club appearances and the video for "Thug Waffle". Since then, almost every year brought a new release - mixtapes "D.R.U.G.S" and "BetterOffDead", a joint project with The Underachievers as Clockwork Indigo, and finally the debut album "3001: A Laced Odyssey". Last year, Flatbush Zombies released their second, well-received album "Vacation In Hell". "In an era of dizzying genre shifts Meechy Darko, Erick the Architect Elliott, and Zombie Juice are stiff traditionalists. Removed from rap’s epicenter and comfortable at the margins, on Vacation in Hell, they rap for themselves and no one else.', Pitchfork wrote about the album. |
