NGO Zone at Open’er has been for many years an inseparable part of the festival. Autonomous non-government organizations are one of the foundations of a civil society, and furthermore – a democratic country and our freedom. The recent weeks, after the barbaric Russian aggression on Ukraine, has made us feel their importance even more!

NGO Zone debuted at Open’er in 2006 and has since become an ongoing festival activity. The turnout of both the applying organizations and the visitors during the festival leaves no doubt, that it’s an important and necessary place. We wish for social issues to be seen from young people’s perspective, who like to discuss, but at the same time still search for their own path in a democratic society. That’s why every year we invite the third sector to Open’er’s specially arranged tent in a central point of the festival’s main alley.
