Music Saves Ukraine

In the face of war, an arts school in Ukraine is more than just a place for lessons—it is a safe space that helps children maintain a sense of normalcy, develop their talents, and continue to dream despite the challenges of everyday life.

The “Music Saves Ukraine” initiative has launched a new round of mini-grants for public arts schools. The program is aimed at institutions operating under exceptionally difficult conditions—in frontline areas, recently liberated territories, and small rural communities where funding for development has been lacking for years. Through the program, schools can receive financial support to purchase musical instruments, sound equipment, and technical tools essential for teaching and learning.

This is direct assistance for the heroic teachers who have continued their work despite the war, and for the children for whom music provides a refuge from the realities of conflict. The previous edition of the program demonstrated the tangible impact of this support—nearly UAH 2.5 million was awarded to 14 schools, including institutions in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and the war-damaged town of Snihurivka. The grants helped fund the purchase of banduras, digital pianos, and equipment for online learning in bomb shelters.
