TYLA Tyla’s music pushes boundaries. Infused with her vibrant personality, her songs offer an innovative take on pop and R&B, shimmering with the euphoria of South African amapiano, and an otherworldly approach to production that makes every track feel like something totally new. The Johannesburg native introduced herself internationally with her debut “Getting Late”, followed by "Overdue" (2021), "Been Thinking" (2023), and "To Last" (2023). Her global breakthrough came last year with "Water", which entered the Top 10 in over 15 countries (i.a. UK, USA, Australia), gathered almost billion streams to date, and won Tyla's first Grammy. Her debut eponymous album premiered in March, and in October she released "Tyla+" the deluxe version with 3 new songs- "Shake Ah", "Push 2 Start" and "Back to You". We can’t wait to see her live at Open’er. July 3, Orange Main Stage.

MARIBOU STATE
Maribou State are Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, the UK duo giving electronic music a much-needed shot of soul. Since 2011, they’ve established themselves as major players on the global dance music circuit, melding a genre-fluid range of influences into a distinctly organic sound, redefining downtempo electronica for a new generation. They’ve become a hugely acclaimed live act
over the last decade, with the releases of their 2015 debut „Portraits”, „Kingdoms Of Colour” (2018) and their upcoming 2025 album „Hallucinating Love”, Maribou State have honed a delicate balance of intricacy, intimacy and electronic expansiveness. Their vast sonic universe pulls on UK club music, vintage soul and evocative samples to create something completely unique. See them play at Alter Stage, July 2!

MAGDALENA BAY While they may claim California as its terra firma, its true home is in the cloud/s, from where the two emit and output the unique yet familiar frequencies of synthesized nostalgia, kitschy catchiness, and bombastically warped neo-hooks. Magdalena Bay, the LA-based duo composed of Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin, released their secind album "Imaginal Disk" in August. With its 15 tracks of hooky, thumping, irresistibly moody, and intelligent songcraft, it's unlike any notion of pop music you may be able to conjure. If the duo were to list its various inspirations and influences, it might include Joni Mitchell, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Jean-Paul Sartre’s plays, The Beatles, Lacanian psychoanalysis, "In Rainbows", Margaret Atwood, and the Polish novel "Solaris". See them live at Open'er, July 2!

CARIBOU For the past two decades, Dan Snaith, aka Caribou, has become one of the key figures in electronic music worldwide. His album "Our Love," released in 2014, garnered immense critical acclaim and landed in the top 5 of Best Album lists from outlets such as The Guardian, Mixmag, and NME. A few years earlier, "Swim" was hailed as one of the best albums of 2010, and the tracks "Odessa" and "Sun" remain among the biggest hits in electronic alternative music to this day. In 2020, Caribou returned with the album "Suddenly" – warm, unrestrained, and continuously surprising. The release, which focused on themes of family and changes in evolving relationships, was also the first, where Snaith sang on every track. In October, his latest album, "Honey," was released. And on July 3rd, Caribou will perform at Alter Stage!

MOLCHAT DOMA Molchat Doma, founded in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave and synth-pop. Dark yet danceable, and with a heavy dose of goth ethos, their music is reminiscent of the masters that predate them, but make no mistake: Molchat Doma creates a sound and meaning that is immediately recognizable as all their own. Their fourth album, 'Belaya Polosa', is a testament to change in difficult times, a love letter to the digital pulse of the ‘90s, and a technicolor reinvention of the band’s somber dancefloor anthems. Molchat at Open'er - July 5, Alter Stage
