Imagine Dragons at Open’er 2022!

Imagine Dragons, one of the most popular bands of the decade, will co-headline the first day of Open'er Festival powered by Orange 2022! Sylvan Esso, Inhaler, Flohio, and Iceage join Alter Stage line-up.

IMAGINE DRAGONS

When Imagine Dragons returned in March with two new songs – “Follow You” and “Cutthroat”, marking their first new music since their 2018 album "Origins”, there was no doubt, that they have to come to Poland. We are happy to announce, they will play at Open'er 2022! The American band, which was formed in 2009, is a perfect blend of rock, pop, electronic, and even hip hop - crossing their boundries and getting the best of the genres. "Night Visions", their 2012 debut LP, entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2 and the lead-off track "Radioactive" topped Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart and won a GRAMMY for Best Rock Performance. During the ceremony they gained enourmous attention, when performing the song with Kendrick Lamar. "Smoke + Mirrors" (2015) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. "EVOLVE" (2017), earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and unleashed three No. 1 Alternative radio hits: "Believer", the GRAMMY-nominated "Thunder" and "Whatever It Takes". See you in Gdynia, June 29.

SYLVAN ESSO

Sylvan Esso is an artistic child of singer Amelia Meath and producer Nick Sanborn. The American electro-pop duo debuted in 2014 with their self-titled album, which landed on #7 of Billboard's Independent Albums charts and became their pass to the biggest American festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza andy Austin City Limits. In 2017 they presented „What Now”, their Grammy nominated album. Their next LP „Free Love” came in September 2020. We'll see them live at Alter Stage - July 2.

FLOHIO

Flohio becomes one of the most interesting newcomers in the British rap scene. Her recognition began to increase after recording the song "Bands" for the popular COLORS series. Soon after, the single "Watchout" was released, which received the title of Best New Music from Pitchfork. On "Wild Youth", the EP released in 2018, she developed her dynamic flow. Since then, Flohio has been more and more often perceived as the "artist to follow". Guardian called her "UK rap's most vital new voice" and BBC listed her on the Sound of 2019 list. In 2020 she shared her mixtape "No Panic No Pain". Flohio will perform on Alter Stage on July 1.

INHALER

Members of Inhaler met at school in Dublin and they quickly noticed that they share the love to the same kind of music of The Stone Roses, Joy Division, The Strokes, Interpol and The Cure. Since 2019 and their singles "It Won't Always Be Like This", "My Honest Face" and "Ice Cream Sundae", the quickly gathered popularity in their native Ireland, as well as other European countries, building a very devoted fanbase. 2020 saw more great songs form Inhaler - including "We Have to Move On" and "Falling In", while the last couple of months came with tracks from their upcoming album "It Won't Always Be Like This". Inhaler will perform at Alter Stage on June 29.

ICEAGE

Iceage was formed in 2008, when its members were still in their teen years.  This years, a decade on from the debut LP “New Brigade”, which became a milestone in Iceage’s career, they presented their fifth album “Seek Shelter”. Their recordings reflect their journey: 2012’s You’re Nothing was hard, fast and raw, a bold doubling-down on the aggression of youth in the first record. Plowing Into the Field of Love (2014) and Beyondless (2018) saw a softening of the band’s hardest edges. We'll experience a whole spectrum of their art on July 1 - Alter Stage.
