First artists confirm their shows at Open'er Festival 2021

Twenty One Pilots is the first confirmed headliner of Open'er Festival powered by Orange 2021. Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes - the Alternative icon, The Chemical Brothers - electronic music giants, FKA twigs - one of the most important female voices of recent years, and the legend of rock and blues – Seasick Steve are joining the American duo.

TWENTY ONE PILOTS

Thanks to billions of views and streams of songs such as ‘Stressed Out’, ‘Heathens’ or ‘Ride’, a huge amount of awards (including Grammy, MTV EMA and Billboard) and one of the most faithful fanbases in the world, Twenty One Pilots are among the most important alternative bands of the decade today. Their album 'Blurryface' takes the #1 spot on Billboard's ranking of the biggest rock albums of the decade. In Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun’s music - rock, electronics, hip-hop and synthesizer-driven alternative pop combine in a rare symbiosis. The duo has released 5 studio albums. The last, Trench, appeared last year, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and scoring 81/100 on Metacritic. As they announced, they are working on a new album that will be released "faster than we expect".

THOM YORKE TOMORROW'S MODERN BOXES

For three decades his art has been evolving in all shapes and forms, spanning across and merging a spectrum of genres. Whether you're a Radiohead fan, or can't wait for his next side and solo projects, you can't deny his status - Thom Yorke is the legend of the Alternative. We are thrilled to announce that for Opener’er Thom Yorke will be joined by his longtime producer and collaborator Nigel Godrich, and audsiovisual artist Tarik Barri to perform works spanning his solo career.

2019 saw the premiere of his newest, and critically acclaimed, album ‘Anima’; created with Godrich. Accompanied by a Paul Thomas Anderson short film, it became his first number-one solo album on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and his second top ten in the UK. Thom Yorke Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes will perform at Open’er 2020 – June 30, Gdynia.

FKA TWIGS

The British artist is one of the most original representatives of alternative pop of the decade. Tahliah Debrett Barnett, known as FKA twigs, debuted in the years 2012-2013 with the releases EP1 and EP2, and her debut album LP1 released in 2014. Since then, she has remained an extremely colorful artist, combining avant-pop elements with electronics and soul. Her additional skills certainly helped to develop her career - from the very beginning FKA twigs has evolved as a dancer, model and director (she is responsible for most of her videos). Magdalene, released this year, has received great reviews and Pitchfork awarded it the distinction of "Best New Music" (“Magdalene is not just on the vanguard of pop, it’s in a breathtaking class of its own”) FKA twigs will perform at Open'er on July 3.

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS

25 years ago they released their debut album "Exit Planet Dust" and while many artists would have suffered from burnout, Ed Simmons and Tom Rowlands confirm their greatness with each new album. "Born In The Echoes" (2015) was their 6th record in a row, which reached the top of the best-selling albums in the UK. Their latest release "No Geography" (2019) was undoubtedly one of the most important albums in electronic music, which was confirmed by Grammy Awards in Best Dance/Electronic Album category and Best Dance Recording category for the song "Got to Keep On". Their spectacular show will close Orange Main Stage on the last day of Open’er.

SEASICK STEVE

"I live in the world of going out and rocking, you know. We do our best, every night. If someone has taken the trouble to spend their money to come and see us play, then we owe them to deliver" - this quote says everything about raw, blues-rock energy of Seasick Steve. Although his long, gray beard could suggest otherwise, the artist has been present on the music scene for only a dozen years. During this time, he managed to release 9 albums and his new record “Love & Peace” will be released in July.
