The Chemical Brothers

Thursday 01/07/2027
ORANGE MAIN STAGE

Since the mid-90s, The Chemical Brothers (Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons) have shaped electronic music around their own vision. As DJs at underground parties, their selections combined heart and head, creating an irresistible barrage of glorious sound to get properly lost in. As their own records charted and their full live show grew, the British duo built an entire world around their music: a psychedelic rabbit hole of jaw-dropping films and pummelling, euphoric sound, with the power to make an audience levitate. It’s no coincidence that recent gigs earned the praise that “there is no greater live dance act in the world right now” (NME).

The Chemical Brothers’ back catalogue is filled with generation-crossing anthems, including ‘Galvanize’, ‘Block Rockin’ Beats’, ‘Got to Keep On’, ‘Wide Open’ and ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’. Their music has earned them multiple Grammy and BRIT Awards and more than 21 million physical record sales worldwide (including 6 UK #1 albums) and billions of streams. And it just keeps on playing: in 2026, their track ‘Go’ became a huge international hit, ten years after its initial release.

In 2027, exactly 25 years after headling the first ever edition of Open'er, The Chemical Brothers return to the festival to close Orange Main Stage on July 1 with a mind-blowing show. Earth-shaking, ground-breaking, life-changing - call them what you want. Just make sure you’re down the front and ready to dive down that rabbit hole.
