The band’s debut album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ became the fastest selling debut album in UK chart history on its release in 2006. The release of subsequent albums ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’ (2007), ‘ Humbug’ (2009), ‘Suck It And See’ (2011), ‘AM’ (2013) and ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino’ (2018) has consolidated their position as one of the most successful bands to emerge globally in recent times. They are the only band to have won both Best British Group and British Album of The Year at The Brits three times, also adding tens of other prestigious nominations and awards.
After two decades of creative work, Arctic Monkeys remain a popcultural phenomenon, whose music resonates with a whole new generation, whether acquired in a traditional way, or through the new digital reality. The band’s music has been streamed over 9 billion times to date, by a digital fanbase of over 30 million followers.
