At the very moment of her self-titled debut in 2011, Anna Calvi was hailed by British press as one of the most interesting contemporary artists of alternative rock. Both first and the next album "One Breath" received i.a. nominations for the Mercury Music Prize. Since then, she has collaborated with legends like Brian Eno, Marianne Faithfull, David Byrne and Brian Wilson. Critics and fans were delighted not only with her compositional skills, but also with guitar virtuosity and incredibly expressive live performances. In 2018 Anna Calvi presented her extremely personal, cathartic third album "Hunter" on which she faces the stereotypical definitions of femininity and gender.
