Documentary and animated film depicting the short, though eventful history of one of the first private, independent music clubs in free Poland. Poland changed significantly after transformations of 1989. Pulled out of the malaise of the 1980s, it opened up to capitalism and its streets and squares were suddenly filled with colourful markets. The first real rock club was Fugazi, based in a former cinema in Warsaw’s Wola district. Everyday concerts by the greatest Polish stars and the decor created by various artists distinguished this place. But Warsaw also had its dark side in those days. There were organised criminal groups which tried to take over the most important areas of life in the young democracy. When they set their eyes on Fugazi, the situation in the club took a turn for the worse.
