After announcing 2 of the headliners: Pearl Jam and Kasabian and also winning Best Major Festival at European Festival Awards it's time to focus on a bit different but equally important side of Open'er. A band that maybe is not selling out arenas and stadiums but is one of most unique bands nowadays, a band that won prestigious Uncut Music Award for the best album of the year. We struggled to start announcing World Stage artists with this particular band. The voice of the desert, the proud of Mali – Tinariwen. Their forth album "Imidiwan: Companions" received great reception among journalist an fans all over the world. Their extraordinary combination of electric blues and African tradition became one of the most memorable sounds of the world music, highly demanded and highly influential.
