Even at their start-up, Kasabian, were proclaimed as one of the most important world class band among such artist as Franz Ferdinand or Arctic Monkeys.
Their debut album "Kasabian" was released in 2004. The album spawned four singles and rose to 4th on the UK Albums Chart. Their tunes had everything: melody, energy and incredible passion.
Kasabian describe themselves as the great heretics of British rock; 21st century renegades with a romantic's heart, a poet's lust for life and a lysergic vision to sear the eyeballs of anyone who would doubt them.
After releasing second album "Empire", their career took wings but it's "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum" that was shortlisted for the 2009 Mercury Prize, and was named 'Best Album' at the 2009 Q Awards.
